Castello di Camigliano 1993 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years prior to release

Château De Fesles 1989 Bonnezeaux

Sweet Chenin Blanc from the distinct Loire Valley appellation of Bonnezeaux; Matured for 15 months in oak.

Produced in much the same process as Sauternes, the grapes are affected by botrytis cinerea (aka \"Noble Rot\") which inflicts dehydration and thus a concentration of the sugary pulp which is then pressed and fermented.

Clos Saint George 'La Sanglarde' 2004 Chateauneuf-Du-Pape

Chateauneuf-Du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines, although white wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

Piper Heidsieck Brut 'Rosé Sauvage' NV Champagne

Non-vintage, Rosé Champagne from the House of Piper-Heidsieck.

Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck. The history of the house can be traced back to the original Heidsieck and Co., which was split into three different operations- the others being Heidsieck Monopole and Charles Heidsieck. Marilyn Monroe was one of the House's earliest supporters, rumoured to have kept a month's supply of champagne in her kitchen.

Château Larose-Trintaudon 1973 Haut-Médoc

A Merlot dominant blend with Cabernet Sauvignon occasionally with small amounts of Petit Verdot from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc; matured for 12-14 months in oak barrels.

Chateauneuf-Du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

Condado De Ovante 2000 Rioja Reserva 4x75cl

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the Rioja region in northern Spain; Classified as a Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 12 months in oak barrels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja.

Primo Estate Joseph 'The Fronti' III Fortified White NV Australia 2x37.5cl

This decades-old blend is an unusual sweet, non-vintage fortified white wine from Australia.

The base wine for this fortified Frontignan came from the Virginia vineyard during the 1981 vintage with other fortified sweet white wines being added to the base wine for release. 

The \"very old\" base wine for The Fronti is continually kept in small oak casks. Every two years a small batch is taken and bottled for release. 

Pieroth Burg Somlo Muskat-Ottonel 1970 Somló, Hungary

Sweet white wine made from Muskat-Ottonel grapes from the small wine region of Somló in the northwestern of Hungary.

Poderi Giovanni Scanavino Barolo circa 1970s

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

Conti Di San Bonifacio Extra Dry NV Prosecco Treviso 3x75cl

Non-vintage Prosecco from the Prosecco Treviso DOC located in the Veneto region of Italy. 

Prosecco is an Italian wine region which belongs to the larger region of Veneto. It must be made from a minimum of 85% of the white wine grape, Glera- formerly known also as Prosecco. Prosecco is almost always made in sparkling (spumante) or semi-sparkling (frizzante) style but a still wine (tranquillo) is also permitted.

Pulenta Estate XV Gran Pinot Noir 2010 Uco Valley

Single vineyard Pinot Noir from Argentina's Uco Valley, just south of the city of Mendoza; Matured for 9 months in new French oak barrels. 

This 100% Pinot Noir comes from block 10 within the single, high altitude vineyard (1,200 meters above sea level) of Don Antonio which was planted in 1981.

Sweet wine wine from the single vineyard, Mönchhofer Kaisergarten located in the Austrian wine-region of Burgenland.

Beerenauslese is a German classification for a late harvest, very sweet wine. Beerenauslese, often called \"BA\" for short, wines are a category and level of sweetness above Auslese and are made from grapes affected by noble rot, i.e.\"botrytised \" grapes.

Pieroth 'Frauenkirchner Kaisergarten' Eiswein 1978 Burgenland 

Sweet wine wine from the single vineyard, Frauenkirchner Kaisergarten located in the Austrian wine-region of Burgenland.

Eiswein (or ice-wine) is made from grapes which were picked in the middle of winter. The water content inside each grape being frozen, when gently cold-pressed, the sweet sugary pulp is drawn separately and vinified to a delightfully sweet wine.

Clarendon Hills \"Romas\" Grenache 2007 South Australia

Single-vineyard, old vine Grenache from the Clarendon Hills, located just north-east of McLaren Vale, to the south of Adelaide, Australia; matured fro 18 months in 1-5 year old tightly grained French Oak.

This wine comes from the Romas patch within the renowned Blewitt Springs vineyard which was planted in 1920 and the 1940's.

Clarendon Hills Clarendon Grenache 2006 Australia

Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Grand Cru Classé estate of Château Boutisse within the appellation of Saint-Émilion.

Pinot Noir from the Anderson Valley AVA of Mendocino County, California. 

Copain wines are sold without a seal over the cork. Cork type and markings are correct for this bottle.

Pillitteri Estates Vidal 2013 Niagara Icewine 37.5cl

Ice wine from Peller Estate in the Canadian VQA of Niagara Peninsula, made exclusively from Vidal Blanc grapes.

Ice wine is a particularly decadent style of sweet wine, in which the grapes are left of their vines for an extended period of time, well into the winter, and are only picked - by hand and in the middle of the night - after a suitable period of constant cold temperatures.  The water content within the grapes thus freezes and the grapes are carefully pressed shortly after picking to draw only the sweet sugary pulp.

Semi-sweet white wine made from Kerner grapes from the single vineyard of Albiger Homberg located in the Rheinhessen wine-region just south-west of Frankfurt, Germany.

Auslese is a semi-sweet or sweet style of German wine, made from individually-selected bunches of very ripe grapes based on their ripeness level and sugar content.

Chardonnay from Domaine du Château De Meursault in the regional appellation of Bourgogne (Burgundy); Aged for 15 - 18 months in around 35% new oak.

Typically an even blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from the southern Bordeaux appellation of Pessac-Léognan (originally Graves before 1987): aged for 12 months in 1/3 new oak barrels. 

Château Soucherie 1989 Chaume / Coteaux du Layon

Sweet Chenin Blanc from the distinct Loire Valley appellation of Coteaux Du Layon.

The wines of Coteaux du Layon are made from grapes that are very ripe, sun-dried on the vine, or affected by the \"Noble Rot\", botrytis cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine.  

The Loire Valley appellation of Chaume is known from 2011 as Coteaux du Layon.

As of 2014 the Premiers-Côtes-de-Bordeaux wine region was changed, only sweet white wines are now permitted to made in the area from this time.
