Dr. Loosen 'Bernkasteler Lay' Riesling Kabinett 2003 Mosel 2x75cl

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard, Lay, by the famed village of Bernkastel-Kues which spans both banks of the Mosel river approximately 100 miles west of Frankfurt.

Kabinett is the lightest style of German wine. It is made from grapes which were picked at full ripeness (but not late-harvested) and the style typically ranges from dry to off-dry with well balanced residual sweetness and acidity.

Château D'Esclans 'Rock Angel' 2017 Cotes De Provence Rosé 2x75cl

A dry Rosé made from a Grenache dominant blend along with Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino) grapes, from the appellation of Côtes De Provence in the south of France.

Château D'Esclans is perhaps most well known for it's renowned Whispering Angel Rosé, Rock Angel is a newer more complex release which has been partly fermented in oak barrel.

Chateauneuf-Du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

Domaine Faiveley 1979 Mercurey

Pinot Noir from the iconic Burgundian appellation of Mercurey.

Domaine Faiveley is one of the biggest and most renowned domains in Burgundy. The family-owned estate was founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley and is today in the hands of the seventh generation.

Domaine Jaboulet-Vercherre 'Clos De l'Ecu' 1979 Beaune 1er-Cru 2x75cl

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian Premier Cru walled-vineyard Clos De L'Ecu within the appellation of Beaune.

The monopole vineyard of Clos de l'Ecu was bought by Domaine Faiveley in 2003.

Château De La Riviere 1978 Fronsac

Château de La Riviere is one of the oldest estates in the Fronsac appellation, with old vines, some of which are up to 80 years old.

The wine of  Chateau de La Riviere is Merlot dominant blend, with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, matured in French Oak barrels for between 12 to 18 months.

Syrah from California, western United States.

Copain wines are sold without a seal over the cork. Cork type and markings are correct for this bottle.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Domaine Du Canal De Monsieur 1994 Chaume / Coteaux du Layon 2x75cl

Sweet Chenin Blanc from the distinct Loire Valley appellation of Coteaux Du Layon.

The wines of Coteaux du Layon are made from grapes that are very ripe, sun-dried on the vine, or affected by the \"Noble Rot\", botrytis cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine. 

The Loire Valley appellation of Chaume is known from 2011 as Coteaux du Layon.

Cru Bourgeois wine from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc. A Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend.

Château Liversan’s typically matures it's wines for 12 months in 25% in new barrels, 25% in one-wine barrels, 25% in two-wine barrels and 25% in vats.

Castello di Camigliano 1993 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years prior to release

Château De Fesles 1989 Bonnezeaux

Sweet Chenin Blanc from the distinct Loire Valley appellation of Bonnezeaux; Matured for 15 months in oak.

Produced in much the same process as Sauternes, the grapes are affected by botrytis cinerea (aka \"Noble Rot\") which inflicts dehydration and thus a concentration of the sugary pulp which is then pressed and fermented.

Chateauneuf-Du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines, although white wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

D'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2006 McLaren Vale

Old-vine Shiraz from the McLaren Vale wine-region, just south of Adelaide; Matured for 22 months in new French and American oak barriques.

D’Arenbergs flagship wine, Dead Arm Shiraz, takes it's name from the Dead Arm vine disease caused by the fungus Eutypa Lata. One half of the vine slowly becomes reduced to dead wood when the grapes on the other side, while low yielding, display higher intensity.

Condado De Ovante 2000 Rioja Reserva 4x75cl

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the Rioja region in northern Spain; Classified as a Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 12 months in oak barrels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja.

Domaine Paul Prieur 'La Croix du Perthuis' 2004 Sancerre 2x75cl

Sauvignon Blanc from the iconic Loire Valley appellation of Sancerre.

Sancerre is a small appellation located in the eastern part of the Loire valley famous for it's world renowned Sauvignon Blanc- although it also produces reds and rosé from Pinot Noir. Almost all of the appellation lies on the left bank of the Loire, opposite Pouilly-Fumé

Domaine Clos des Rochers 'Domaine Tradition' Auxerrois 1999 Moselle Luxembourgeoise

White wine made from the Auxerrois grape from Germany's famous Mosel river valley. This wine is likely sweet or semi-sweet in style, however this cannot be confirmed. 

Spätlese is the the lightest of the German late harvest wines, produced from slightly-late-harvested grapes and may be either sweet or dry. If “Trocken” is noted on the label you can assume it's a dry style.

Conti Di San Bonifacio Extra Dry NV Prosecco Treviso 3x75cl

Non-vintage Prosecco from the Prosecco Treviso DOC located in the Veneto region of Italy. 

Prosecco is an Italian wine region which belongs to the larger region of Veneto. It must be made from a minimum of 85% of the white wine grape, Glera- formerly known also as Prosecco. Prosecco is almost always made in sparkling (spumante) or semi-sparkling (frizzante) style but a still wine (tranquillo) is also permitted.

Daniel Schuster Hull Family Vineyard Late Harvest Riesling 2006 Waipara, New Zealand 37.5cl

Sweet Riesling from the Gladstone sub-region within the central Wairarapa region, on the North Island of New Zealand. 

These grapes have been affected by noble rot, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine.

Clarendon Hills \"Romas\" Grenache 2007 South Australia

Single-vineyard, old vine Grenache from the Clarendon Hills, located just north-east of McLaren Vale, to the south of Adelaide, Australia; matured fro 18 months in 1-5 year old tightly grained French Oak.

This wine comes from the Romas patch within the renowned Blewitt Springs vineyard which was planted in 1920 and the 1940's.

Clarendon Hills Clarendon Grenache 2006 Australia

Single-vineyard, old vine Grenache from the Clarendon Hills, located just north-east of McLaren Vale, to the south of Adelaide, Australia; matured fro 18 months in 1-5 year old tightly grained French Oak.
