Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 1994 Napa Valley

Cabernet Sauvignon from California's renowned Napa Valley.

Grgich Hills Estate is a historic fixture in Napa Valley, founded by Miljenko \"Mike\" Grgich in the Rutherford AVA in 1977. The winery produces an array of wines from five estate vineyards located throughout the valley.

Clos Du Marquis 1993 Saint-Julien

From the Saint-Julien appellation, Clos Du Marquis is frequently considered to be the unofficial second-wine of Chateau Leoville Las Cases - 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc; yet is regarded by owners, Domaines Delon, as an unclassified parallel-wine. Located uphill from the famed walled-vineyard of Leoville Las Cases, the grapes ripen slightly later than the \"Enclos\".

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

Château Cantemerle 1964 Haut-Medoc 5eme-Cru 

From the Haut-Medoc appellation, Château Cantemerle was recognised as a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 12 months.

Croft 1960 Vintage Port

1960 vintage port from the house of Croft.

Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades.

Founded in 1588 by John Coft of Yorkshire, Croft is one of the most well known and respected of all Port houses which is still active today.

Château de Fieuzal 1988 Pessac-Léognan Grand-Cru 2x75cl

From the appellation of Pessac-Léognan (originally Graves before 1987), Château de Fieuzal is a Grand Cru Classé estate, ranked within the 1953  and 1959 Classification of Graves.

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from the southern Bordeaux appellation of Pessac-Léognan: matured for 12 months in French oak.

Château Gruaud-Larose 1988 St-Julien 2eme-Cru / Cordier

Château Gruaud-Larose is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux-blend; Matured for 16-18 months in approximately 30% new French oak barrels.

Château Cissac 1986 Haut-Médoc 2x75cl

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc; Aged for 18-20 months in 30-40% new French oak. 

Château Cissac has been in the hands of the Vialard family since 1895 and is currently run by the 5th generation. The family also owns the neighbouring estate of Chateau du Breuil.

Château Batailley 1979 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

From the Pauillac appellation, Château Batailley was recognised as a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Château Batailley is one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux. In 1942 it was divided into the two separate estates that we know today; Chateau Batailley and Chateau Haut Batailley.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels (55% new) for approximately 16-18 months.

Contino 1986 Rioja Reserva 2x75cl

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the Rioja region in northern Spain; Classified as a Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 12 months in oak barrels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja.

A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from the single vineyard of Vigna La Quercia.

From the Languedoc area of Southern France, this red wine is classified as \"Vin De Pays De L'Hérault\" due to its use of grape varieties not permitted within the regional appellation's regulations. Cabernet Sauvignon is the predominant grape variety used in this blend. 

Produced by the respected Mas de Daumas Gassac estate.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; aged for approximately 18 months in 50% new oak barriques. 

The estate also produces a second wine called Lacoste-Borie.

Château Saint Jean 2007 Chateauneuf-Du-Pape

Chateauneuf-Du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 1975 Pauillac 5ème -Cru 2x73cl

From the Pauillac appellation, Chateau Grand-Puy Ducasse is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wine is typically a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (~60%) and Merlot (~40%); Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

As is common with historic Bordeaux properties, this Chateau has went through a number of name changes from, Grand-Puy Saint-Guirons, Saint Guirons-Lacoste to Grand-Puy-Lacoste.

Note-vintage date on one bottle is torn. Full vintage cannot be confirmed- both are assumed to be from the 1975 vintage.

Croft 1983 LBV Port

1983 Late Bottled Vintage from the house of Croft. Bottled in 1989.

Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port is a specific style of Ruby Port in which the fortified wine - from a single, specified vintage - is aged for an extended period of time before bottling.  Unlike Vintage Ports, LBV Ports do not continue to mature in the bottle.

Founded in 1588 by John Coft of Yorkshire, Croft is one of the most well known and respected of all Port houses which is still active today.

Château Langoa Barton 1976 St-Julien 3eme-Cru

Located within the appellation of Saint-Julian, Château Langoa Barton is a 3rd Growth (3eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured for approximately 20 months; 50% new French Oak barrels.

Château Langoa-Barton was the first of two Bordeaux wine estates bought by Hugh Barton in the 1820s, the other being Leoville-Barton, a 2nd Classified Growth estate. Out of all the 1855 Classified Growths, it is one of the few Chateaux that is still in the hands of the same family that was the owner at the time of the classification, currently managed by Lilian Barton Satrorius.
