First released with the 1968 vintage, Sassicaia is one of Italy's greatest and most iconic wines. A "Super-Tuscan" by nature of being made from grape varieties not native to Tuscany, and which pays significant homage - and competition - to Bordeaux. The wine takes it's name from the stony soil which it comes from.
The wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with Cabernet Franc; Matured for 20-25 months in French Oak barriques.
