Aalto 'PS' Pagos Seleccionados 2000 Ribera Del Duero 6x75cl

100% Tinto Fino (aka Tempranillo) from the northern Spanish DO of Ribera Del Duero: typically aged for 21 months in 50-100% French oak barrels. 

PS is the flagship wine from Aalto, produced primarily from very old vines aged 40 to 100 years old from selected plots.

These 6 bottles are presented in their original wooden case, previously unopened prior to this listing.

Ruinart Blanc-de-Blancs Brut 1988 Vintage Champagne 150cl

1988 vintage Champagne from the renowned House of Ruinart.

Blanc-De-Blancs Champagne are made exclusively from the white grape variety, Chardonnay.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

An iconic name in Californian wine making, Ridge vineyards only began in the 1960's, however, wine has been produced at the site underthe name 'Monte Bello Winery' since 1885. Renowned for producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Chardonnay, their Bordeaux-style blends are considered rivals to these from the great Bordeaux Chateaux.

Solengo is a super-Tuscan, Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from the Tuscan (Toscana) wine-region of Italy: aged for 18 months in 60% new French barriques.

Remoissenet Pere & Fils 1994 Meursault-Charmes 1er-Cru

Chardonnay from the Premier-Cru climat of Charmes within the Burgundian appellation of Meursault.

Remoissenet Pere & Fils was founded in 1877 in Beaune. Over the years the ancient estate has built up one of the biggest collections of aged Burgundy, with over one million bottles, dating back to the 1950s. In 2005, Remoissenet started the next chapter in its generations-long history with new owners and renewed leadership under Pierre-Antoine Rovani.

From the appellation of Lirac in France's Southern Rhone valley, the red wines are blends which must contain a minimum 40% Grenache, minimum 25% Syrah and Mourvedre (together), Carignan and a maximum 10% of Cinsault.

Grapes were sourced from the Clos de Sixte vineyard which faces Chateauneuf du Pape.

R. Lopez de Heredia Vina Tondonia 2008 Rioja Reserva

A Tempranillo dominant blend from the northern Spanish DOC of Rioja; Matured in oak barrels for approximately 6 years.

Established by Don Rafael López de Heredia in 1877, R. López de Heredia is one of the most well known and respected wineries in Rioja today. An interesting note- when the term \"Reserva\" was defined in the 1970s, the owner of Viña Tondonia, objected on the grounds that the new terms were too lenient - even his most basic wine far exceeding the \"Gran Reserva\" requirements - and so refused to use the new classifications on his labels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja. 

Rosemount 'Old Benson' Fine Old Tawny Port NV Australia 3x50cl

A non-vintage sweet, fortified wine from South Eastern Australia. Made in the same style as that of the famous Portuguese fortified wine, Port, produced in the Douro Valley.

Made from a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tokay grapes aged for an average of 10 years. 

Tawny Port is a particular style of Port in which the fortified wines are aged for a number of years in small oak casks.  This process of deliberate and careful oxidative maturation imparts typical characteristics of stewed fruits, nuts and leather. The wines do not age or improve further upon bottling.
