Guado al Tasso is a "Super-Tuscan" by nature of being made from grape varieties not native to Tuscany
The wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with Merlot and Cabernet Franc occasionally with a small amount of Petit Verdot ; matured for 14 months in small oak barrels with a further 10 months in bottle prior to release.
The Guado al Tasso estate (previoulsy named Tenuta Belvedere) is located in the small Bolgheri DOC and is part of the famed Marchesi Antinori portfolio.
