Alter Ego is the second label of Château Palmer, earlier known as 'La Réserve du Géneral'. It is typically a fairly even blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Peitit Verdot.
Located in the appellation of Margaux, Château Palmer was ranked as a 3rd-Growth (3ème-Cru) Grand Cru estate in the famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc. The estate produces two wines- Château Palmer grand vin and a second label named Alter Ego, earlier known as La Réserve du Géneral.
