Leading the way is a remarkable selection from the Rhône, including Château de Beaucastel 2007 and mature bottles from Domaine Jean-Louis Chave, whose family has been making wine in the region for 16 generations. Collectors will also find an impressive range of large-format French wines, including a Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Au Bout du Monde 2023 Magnum, Dom Pérignon 2009 Magnum and Château Lynch-Bages 1989 Magnum. 

Italy is particularly well represented this month, with some of the country’s most sought-after names. Highlights include the rare Giuseppe Quintarelli Valpolicella Classico Riserva “12 Apostoli” 1972, a special reserve associated with Verona’s historic 12 Apostoli restaurant, alongside a Gaja 1988 Magnum, and several Super Tuscans including Solaia 1990 and Sassicaia 2004.

From California, the cult Sine Qua Non Whisperin’E 2002 offers something rather different. This Rhône-inspired white is a blend of Roussanne, Viognier and Chardonnay, sourced primarily from Alban Vineyard, and reflects Manfred Krankl’s reputation for producing highly individual wines in tiny quantities.
