Jim Barry The Benbournie Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 South Australia 4x75cl

Jim Barry is known as one of the pioneering names in the Australian wine making industry. He was the first qualified winemaker in Clare valley and today his vineyard has expanded greatly and his legacy is carried on by his son Peter with the help of his own sons (the 3rd generation of Jim Barry winemakers) Tom and Sam.

Tempranillo dominant blend from the iconic Marques De Murrieta in the Rioja region of northern Spain.Castillo Ygay is the estate's flagship wine; Matured in oak barriques for a period in excess of the minimum 12 months required to classify as Reserva.

Marqués de Murrieta is the oldest family winery based in Rioja, concentrating exclusively on the production of premium Reserva and Gran Reserva wines since 1852.

Masseria Altemura 'Sasseo' Primitivo 2013 Salento 150cl

Primitivo (aka Zinfandel) from the region of Salento, Puglia in southern Italy: typically matred for 12 months in French oak. 

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

M.Chapoutier 'Monier De La Sizeranne' 2000 Hermitage 

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage: matured for around 18 months in French oak with newer vintages seeing a portion matured in concrete tanks. 

Monier de la Sizeranne comes from a blending of different vineyards including; Les Bessards, Le Méal and les Greffieux.

Maison Chapoutier is without doubt one of the oldest and most renowned names in the Rhône producing some of the finest Hermitage. Today Chapoutier is both a negociant and wine maker and are active all over the Rhone valley in every major appellation owning close to 25% of the entire appellation.

Muga Prado Enea 2011 Rioja Gran Reserva

Tempranillo dominant blend from the northern Spanish DOC of Rioja; Classified as a Gran Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 24 months in oak barrels.

This wine is a blend of; 80% Tempranillo with 20% Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano.

Dry white wine made from old vine Pinot Auxerrois from the eastern French wine-region of Alsace: matured in stainless steel or large oak barrels depending on the vintage. 

H is made from two plots of vines located in the Grand-Cru vineyard of Hengst that have an average age of 60 years. Pinot Auxerrois is not recognized as a “noble” grape variety in Alsace and is therefore not entitled to the Grand Cru appellation.

Sauvignon Blanc from the iconic Loire Valley appellation of Pouilly-Fumé, located directly across the river from the equally famous appellation of Sancerre.

The Pouilly-Fumé appellation was created in 1937 and was originally named Blanc Fumé de Pouilly. The appellation exclusively produces white wines from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, with a distinctive smoky ('fumé) character. Not to be confused with Burgundy's Pouilly-Fuisse which is Chardonnay based

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard, Lay, by the famed village of Bernkastel-Kues which spans both banks of the Mosel river approximately 100 miles west of Frankfurt.

Kabinett is the lightest style of German wine. It is made from grapes which were picked at full ripeness (but not late-harvested) and the style typically ranges from dry to off-dry with well balanced residual sweetness and acidity.
