PS is the flagship wine from Aalto, produced primarily from very old vines aged 40 to 100 years old from selected plots.

Tempranillo dominant blend from the iconic Marques De Murrieta in the Rioja region of northern Spain. Castillo Ygay is the estate's flagship wine; Matured in American Oak barriques for a period in excess of the minimum 24 months required to classify as Gran Reserva.

Marqués de Murrieta is the oldest family winery based in Rioja, concentrating exclusively on the production of premium Reserva and Gran Reserva wines since 1852.

This 1978 vintage of their famous Gran Reserva Especial is a blend of 75% Tempranillo, 12% Mazuelo (aka Carignan), 10 Garnacha Tinta and 3% Graciano: matured for an impressive 18 years (216 months) in American oak barrels.

Hawkes 'PYR' Pyramid Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 Alexander Valley 300cl

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the single vineyard of Pyramid within the Alexander Valley AVA of Sonoma County, California.

The Hawkes family have been growing grapes in the Alexander Valley for over fifty years. The near 120 acre Pyramid Vineyard was planted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1996 and is named due to the sharp, often terraced hills on which it grows.

This is a 3 litre double magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Shiraz from the renowned Barossa Valley in South Australia made using the Appassimento style: matured for approximately 24 months in French oak. 

Appassimento wines are produced through a process of partially rack-drying grapes to increase concentration of both natural grape flavours and sugars.  The result is a wine of atypical power, concentration and alcohol content with an ability to benefit from long periods of maturation.
