Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux is the second-wine from the renowned Château Margaux estate- one of the original four 1st Growths (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc. It is believed this second wine was first released back in the 17th century, but the name Pavillon Rouge was given to it in 1908.
The wine is a classic right-bank Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon dominance with Merlot and a small amount of Petit Verdot.
