Château Mouton Rothschild 2000
Château Mouton Rothschild was initially classified as a Second Growth estate in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, Baron Philippe de Rothschild successfully lobbied for its promotion to First Growth (Premier Cru Classé) status in 1973, making it the only estate to have been elevated to this elite status.
This 2000 vintage is made from a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot. The bottle is engraved with artwork known as The Augsburg Ram designed by glassmaker B.S.N.
