From the St-Julien appellation, Château Léoville Las Cases is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc.
The compositions of Le Grand Vin de Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases varies with each vintage, yet are true to Bordeaux' classic left-bank formula of Cabernet Sauvignon dominance, Merlot moderance, some Cabernet Franc and a tiny dash of Petit Verdot; matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months
