Pasqua 'Black Label' 2017 Amarone Della Valpolicella 6x75cl

Part of the Valpolicella family of wines, each Corvina and Rondinella dominant blends.

Amarone is produced through a process of partially rack-drying grapes for several months prior to fermentation, resulting in a wine of atypical power, concentration and alcohol content with an ability to benefit from long periods of maturation.

Château Giscours 1990 Margaux 3eme-Cru 2x75cl

From the appellation of Margaux, Château Giscours is a 3rd Growth (3eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Typically a full Bordeaux-blend of approximately; 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc; matured in French Oak barrels for 15-18 months.

Paul Jaboulet 'La Chapelle' 1986 Hermitage

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage; Aged for an undisclosed period in 20% new oak. 

Paul Jaboulet is one of the most prominent names in the Rhône and Hermitage. La Chapelle is their flagship wine, made from 100% Syrah from a blend from their top sites including the acclaimed vineyards of Les Bessards, Le Meal and Les Rocoules. The estate also produce a \"La Chapelle blanc\" which is made from 100% Marsanne grapes. 

Chateau Leoville-Barton 2005 Saint Julien 2eme-Cru

Chateau Leoville-Barton is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Typically a classic Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, matured in oak barrels for a period of 16-18 months.

Château Pontet-Canet 1983 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in French Oak barrels for 16-20 months.

From the appellation of Pauillac, Château Pontet-Canet is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

A blend of approximately; 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.

Bordeaux-style blend from the Columbia Valley wine-region of Washington state, America: matured for 24 months in French oak barrels. 

Walter Clore Private Reserve is a blend dominated by either Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.

Château Musar Red is a blend comprising of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley; Aged in French oak for 12 months. 

Château Musar was created in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. In recent years Château Musar has become the first producer in Lebanon to achieve organic certification for its vineyards. Today the Chateau is one of the leading wineries increasing wide-spread recognition of Lebanon's wines and wine-history.

Chateau Mouton Baronne Philippe 1985 Pauillac 5eme-Cru 3x75cl

From the famed Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac, Chateau d'Armailhac is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Purchased by the Rothschild family in 1934, the Chateau has historically produced under the names Mouton Baron Philippe, Mouton Baronne Philippe and Mouton d'Armailhac.

The wines feature the classic Bordeaux grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc; unusually however, vintage variation is significant with a majority being contributed from any one of these 3 grapes; matured in oak barrels for 14-16 months.

Château Beychevelle 1971 St-Julien 4eme-Cru 150cl

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured for approximately 18 months in French Oak barrels (50% New).

Located in the appellation of Saint-Julien, the prestigious Château Beychevelle is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Beychevelle means “lower sails\" and was named in honour of Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette (Duke of Eperon) - the first owner of Beychevelle, who was also a Navy Admiral of France. Today the Chateau is owned by Grands Millésimes de France (Castel and Suntory Group) and managed by Aymar de Baillenx.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Penfolds is one of Australia's great iconic wineries and has been making world renowned wines since 1844. It was established at Magill Estate in the Adelaide Hills in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold and his wife Mary who In the early years, produced and sold fortified wines. Today Penfolds offer a huge variety of wines ranging from entry-level to premier offerings such as their flagship \"Grange\". On its 50th birthday in 2001, Grange was listed as a South Australian heritage icon.

Chapel Down Brut NV English Sparkling 4x75cl

Non-vintage sparkling wine from England, UK, made in the style - and same, traditional process- of Champagne, from France.

Chapel Down Brut is a Chardonnay dominant blend made from grapes sourced from vineyards in Kent, Essex and East Sussex. Matured on fine lees for 6 months before bottling, followed by a further 18 months in bottle before release. 

Of all non-Champagne sparkling wines, many of those produced in the south of England come closest in terms of style and quality.  With similarities in soils and climates, grape varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) which grow well, and method of production, it is natural that flavour will follow also.

Château Duhart-Milon 2000 Pauillac 4eme-Cru / Baron de Rothschild Lafite

From the Pauillac appellation, Château Duhart-Milon is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc. Located close to Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, Ch. Duhart-Milon was purchased by the Rothschild (Lafite) family in 1962 - briefly thereafter renamed Ch. Duhart-Milon-Rothschild.

This wine is a classic left bank Bordeaux-blend of 60-80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20-35% Merlot: matured for 14 months in 50% new oak. 

Château Margaux 1978 Margaux 1er-Cru

Giving its estate's name to the greater appellation and ranked as one of the original four 1st Growths (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc, Château Margaux is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates.

From the Pauillac appellation, Château Batailley was recognised as a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Château Batailley is one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux. In 1942 it was divided into the two separate estates that we know today; Chateau Batailley and Chateau Haut Batailley.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.

The wine must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.
