Penfolds Grange 1999 South Australia

Old-vine Shiraz and small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes for this wine were sourced from vineyards throughout South Australia including the world-renowned Barossa Valley; Matured in new American Oak hogsheads for 17 months.

It was established at Magill Estate in the Adelaide Hills in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold and his wife Mary who In the early years, produced and sold fortified wines. Today Penfolds offer a huge variety of wines ranging from entry-level to premier offerings such as their flagship \"Grange Hermitage\", or simply \"Grange\" since the 1990s. On its 50th birthday in 2001, Grange was listed as a South Australian heritage icon.

Bouchard Aine & Fils Cuvee Docteur-Peste 1976 Corton Grand Cru / Hospices De Beaune 148cl

Hospices de Civiles de Beaune is a former charitable almshouse founded in 1443 in the town of Beaune. It is now a modern hospital, with the original buildings serving as a museum.

Since 1859, a charity wine auction has raised funds for the hospital with the wines produced being released under the Hospice's umbrella label.

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeax-style blend from California's renowned Napa Valley: aged for 17-20 months in 80-100% new French oak.

The renowned Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red is a full blend of 70-90%  Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.
