1982 vintage Champagne from the iconic House of Krug.
Krug is a Champagne house founded by Johann-Joseph Krug in 1843. It is based largly in Reims, the main city in France's Champagne region.
Their most important wine is the Grande Cuvée, a non-vintage blend as well as the Vintage cuvee, released only in very good years. Krug also make a rosé (introduced in 1983) and two small production single-vineyard Champagnes which are among the most expensive wines in the world.
Krug is part of the wider Moët Hennessy group of companies. While the house is headquartered in Reims, a new winery is being developed at the Clos d'Ambonnay site and is due to open in 2023.
