Musigny is one of the most revered Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy, located in the commune of Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits. Renowned for producing some of the most elegant and complex Pinot Noir wines in the world, Musigny is unique in that it also permits the production of a very rare white wine made from Chardonnay, though red is by far the dominant style. Covering just under 11 hectares, the vineyard is prized for its exceptional terroir: a combination of limestone-rich soils, ideal slope and exposure, and excellent drainage, which together contribute to wines of remarkable finesse, aromatic complexity, and longevity. Musigny wines are known for their silky texture, floral bouquet—often with violet and rose—and layers of red fruit, spice, and mineral notes. Among the most legendary producers of Musigny is Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, whose bottlings are highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs. Musigny stands as a pinnacle of what Burgundy—and Pinot Noir—can achieve at its finest.
