The Steading is made from a Grenache dominant blend with Shiraz and Mataro (aka Mourvedre) from pre-phylloxera old-vines in the Barossa Valley.
Torbreck, named after a forest in Scotland, was founded in 1994 by Dave Powell and has quickly become one of the most revered producers in Australia, creating wines from renowned vineyards in the area. The first wine made under the Torbreck label was the 1995 RunRig, which was released in 1997.
Grenache is a red wine grape variety that is widely grown in the Southern Rhône region of France and is one of the most widely cultivated grape varieties in the world with plantings in Spain, Italy, California, and Australia.
Australia is a major wine-producing country, particularly renowned for its wines from the Barossa Valley and Coonawarra regions.
