The Steading is an old-vine blend of from pre-phylloxera Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro (aka Mourvedre) vines.
This 2018 vintage is made from: 53% Grenache, 28% Shiraz and 19% Mataro: aged for 20 months in large French oak foudres.
Torbreck, named after a forest in Scotland, was founded in 1994 by Dave Powell and has quickly become one of the most revered producers in Australia, creating wines from renowned vineyards in the area. The first wine made under the Torbreck label was the 1995 RunRig, which was released in 1997.
Australia is a major wine-producing country, particularly renowned for its wines from the Barossa Valley and Coonawarra regions.
