Limited edition Champagne from the House of Taittinger produced to celebrate and commemorate the turn of the Millennium in 2000.
This special blend is made exclusively from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes harvested in the great 1996 vintage, grown in vineyards with a quality rating of 100%, also known as Grand-Crus. It was made available to the public in the Summer of 1999. Taittinger is one of the last great independent Champagne Houses owned and actively managed by the family named on the label.
The origins of Champagne Taittinger date back to 1734, when the original House was founded in the city of Reims by Jacques Fourneaux. The Taittinger link was established in 1931 when it was acquired by Pierre Taittinger, the founder of today’s company.
France is widely recognized as one of the world's premier wine-producing countries, renowned for its diverse range of wine styles and regions, including Champagne, Bordeaux, and Burgundy.
AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) is France’s official wine classification system, regulating geographic origin, grape varieties, viticulture, and winemaking practices to ensure quality and authenticity. It protects traditional regional wine styles and names.
