Taittinger Comtes de Champagne is a highly regarded cuvée made entirely from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the best vines in the prestigious Côte des Blancs region. It is only produced when the harvest is of exceptional quality worthy of a vintage year. Comtes de Champagne Blanc-de-Blancs and Rosé have collectively been produced in only 35 vintages since the first cuvée in 1952.
The origins of Champagne Taittinger date back to 1734, when the original House was founded in the city of Reims by Jacques Fourneaux. The Taittinger link was established in 1931 when it was acquired by Pierre Taittinger, the founder of today’s company.
