Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux is the second-wine from the renowned Château Margaux estate- one of the original four 1st Growths (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc. It is believed this second wine was first released back in the 17th century, but the name Pavillon Rouge was given to it in 1908.
The wine is a classic right-bank Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon dominance with Merlot and a small amount of Petit Verdot.
Château Margaux is a Premier Cru Classé Bordeaux wine estate located in the commune of Margaux, in the Médoc region of France. The estate has a long and distinguished history dating back to the 16th century and has been recognised as one of the world's greatest wine producers for centuries.
