First released with the 2001 vintage, La Petite Chapelle is the second wine from renowned producer Paul Jaboulet Aîné. Made from 100% old vine Syrah, from a blend of their best Hermitage terroirs.
Paul Jaboulet Aîné is a prestigious winery located in the Rhône Valley, France. Established in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet, the winery has a rich history of producing world-class wines, particularly in the Northern Rhône region. Paul Jaboulet Aîné is known for its iconic Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie wines.
Syrah, also known as Shiraz, is a red wine grape variety that originated in the Rhône region of France. It is now widely planted in many countries around the world and is especially known for producing full-bodied, tannic and sometimes spicy red wines.
France is widely recognized as one of the world's premier wine-producing countries, renowned for its diverse range of wine styles and regions, including Champagne, Bordeaux, and Burgundy.
The Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) is a cornerstone of France’s wine regulation system, designed to protect the authenticity, quality, and geographical origin of its wines and other agricultural products. Introduced in the early 20th century, the AOC system ensures that each wine labeled under a specific appellation adheres to rigorous standards, including permitted grape varieties, vineyard location, production methods, and yields. This guarantees that wines not only come from a defined region but also reflect its unique terroir and traditional practices. For wine lovers, the AOC label is a mark of both provenance and quality, offering a deeper connection to France’s rich winemaking heritage.
