Château Marquis D'Alesme (formerly known as Château Becker and Château Marquis D'Alesme Becker) from the appellation of Margaux, was ranked as a 3rd-Growth (3eme-Cru) Grand Cru estate in the famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.
The wines are typical full Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; matured in French Oak barrels for an average period of 18 months.
Margaux is a famed appellation located in the Haut-Médoc district of in the Right Bank of Bordeaux, southwestern France. The wine is predominantly made from Cabernet Sauvignon either as a single varietal or blended with a select combination of other permitted grapes: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Carmenère, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
