The wine of Château Cissac is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc: Aged for 18-20 months in 30-40% new French oak.
Château Cissac has been part of the Cru Bourgeois classification since it was created in 1932. In 2018 it was awarded Cru Bourgeois Supérieur status.
Château Cissac is situated in the Haut-Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, France. It is a historic wine property which dates from 1769. Château Cissac belongs to the Vialard family, and its modern day reputation is largely based on the tireless work of Louis Vialard, who arrived there in 1940.
