A blend of 95%+ Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc from the Spottswoode Estate Vineyard.

Stag's Leap 'S.L.V' Cabernet Sauvignon 1996 Napa Valley

Single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from California's renowned Napa Valley.

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is one of California's great iconic wineries.  The winery came first to international attention and acclaim when its 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon was ranked in 1st place by leading French wine experts following a blind tasting of top French and Californian wines - The Judgement Of Paris.

San Felice 'Il Grigio' 2011 Chianti Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 5x75cl

Sangiovese dominant blend from the famed Chianti Classico in the heartland of Tuscany, renowned as the original area of Chianti - and, since 1924, identified as such by the stamp of a black rooster on gold.

Chianti Classico wines must contain a minimum of 80% of Sangiovese. The remainder can be made from native grapes such as Canaiolo or Colorino, as well as international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wines made only from Sangiovese have been permitted since 1996.

Gran Selezione classed wines (only found in Chianti Classico) must be made from 100% estate grown grapes, with at least 30 months of ageing in oak barrels.

Santa Cristina Vin Santo 2018 Valdichiana, Tuscany 6x37.5cl

Vin Santo is a historic Tuscan sweet wine. The grapes are left to dry for months, as tradition dictates, then gently pressed.

Fermentation and ageing take place over a period of at least 2 years in small oak casks resulting in a dessert wine with natural residual sugars.

Old Block was first made in 1980 from the St Hallett Old Block vineyard. To qualify for the Old Block Shiraz, the vineyards must be planted on their own rootstock and be more than 50 years of age. The oldest vineyard used to create this wine was planted in 1856 whilst the youngest 1963.

Warre's 1980 Vintage Port

Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes.  The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character.  Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades.

William Fevre \"Grenouilles\" 2002 Chablis Grand-Cru 

Chardonnay from the renowned Grand Cru vineyard of Grenouilles, within the iconic French appellation of Chablis; Matured for 14-15 months including 5-6 months on fine lees in French oak barrels for around half of the cuvée.

Chablis is one of the most well-known wine regions in France producing famous Chardonnay, which unlike other Chardonnay wines, rarely uses oak-ageing.

The Grenouilles vineyard is the smallest Climat in the Chablis Grand Cru appellation, covering less than 10 hectares. 

Wine Society The Society's Crusted Port / Bottled 1972

Crusted Ports are Ruby Ports blended from multiple vintages, matured in oak casks for a period of approximately 3 years before being bottled without filtration. During normal filtration, grape sediment would be removed from the Port; without filtration, this sediment remains within the wine, eventually forming a solid crust which adds slight complexity. The premise behind Crusted Ports is to achieve a wine which falls somewhere between a normal Ruby and a Late Bottled Vintage Port in terms of complexity and flavour development.

Schramsberg Blanc-De-Noirs Brut 1990 Napa Valley

1990 vintage sparkling made from a blend of Pinot Noir with a small amount of Chardonnay from California's renowned Napa Valley and Schramsberg Vineyards estate. Made in the style - and same, traditional process (Méthode Traditionelle)- of Champagne, from France.

Blanc-De-Noirs wines are typically produced exclusively from red grapes- nearly always Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier.

Smith Woodhouse & Co. 1983 Vintage Port

The small Port house of Smith Woodhouse & Co. was founded in 1784 by Christopher Smith M.P. and Lord Mayor of London. Their small 5-hectare vineyard is located in the heart of the sheltered Rio Torto Valley. Today the company is part of the Symington family of ports who also own iconic port houses such as; Graham's, Cockburn's, Dow's and Warre's & co.

Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes. Château Gruaud-Larose 'Sarget De Gruaud-Larose'' 1992 St-Julien 3x75cl / Cordier

Named after one of the families who previously owned the estate, Sarget De Gruaud-Larose is the second wine from the 2nd-Growth (2eme-Cru) Saint-Julien estate, Château Gruaud-Larose.

Sarget is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and smaller volumes of Petit Verdot; matured in French Oak barrels for 12-24 months in approximately a combination of new and used French oak. 

This is a bottling by the historic French négociants, Cordier.

Weingut Josef Spreitzer Lenchen Riesling Spatlese 2018 Rheingau 4x75cl

Dry Riesling from the single vineyard of Domdechaney, located in the Rheingau region of west-central Germany: aged in 80% large wooden barrels and 20% stainless steel. 

Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon 1976 Coonawarra

The Coonawarra region, located roughly halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne in South Australia, is famed for it's Terra Rossa - red earth.  The hot climate and this unique soil suit Cabernet Sauvignon particularly well.

Founded by Scottish Pioneer John Riddoch in 1891, Wynns is the oldest winery in the Coonawarra region. David Wynn purchased the winery and vineyards in 1951 and renamed it, Wynns Coonawarra Estate.

Yalumba The Octavius Shiraz 2004 Barossa Valley

Matured in Yalumba coopered oak octaves; the inspiration behind the name of this wine from Australia's famous Barossa Valley, located to the north of Adelaide.

Wynns \"John Riddoch\" Cabernet Sauvignon 1994 Coonawarra

Cabernet Sauvignon from the Coonawarra region, located roughly halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne in South Australia.

Paitin 'Sorì Paitin' 2000 Barbaresco

Nebbiolo from the renowned Piedmont region of Italy. 

DOC Barbaresco is one of the great - yet largely unsung - wines of Italy.  Similar to it's more famous neighbour, Barolo; Barbaresco is made from Nebbiolo grapes and must be aged for a minimum of 26 months (at least 9 months in wooden barrels) prior to release.

Australian Pinot Noir from the single block of Block 1 within the Yabby Lake Vineyard from the Mornington Peninsula wine region of south of Melbourne, Victoria: matured for approximately 12 months in  20% new French oak puncheons.

San Polo 2017 Brunello di Montalcino 2x75cl

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years prior to release.

Schubert Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Riesling Spätlese 2017 Mosel 3x37.5cl

Sweet Riesling from the Abtsberg single vineyard of the centuries-old former Benedictine monastery of Maximin Grünhaus on the outskirts of Mertesdorf on the Ruwer tributary of the Mosel.

Spätlese is the the lightest of the German late harvest wines, produced from slightly-late-harvested grapes and may be either sweet or dry. If “Trocken” is noted on the label you can assume it's a dry style.
