Muscat de Beaumes de Venise is a sweet, lightly fortified, vin doux naturel wine from one of the lesser-known appellations in France's Southern Rhône Valley.
The wine must be made from 100% Muscat grapes, also known as Muscat Blanc à Petit Grains. The fermentation process is halted - with the addition of high alcohol grape spirit - before all the natural grape sugars had converted to alcohol.
