From the Bordeaux left-bank appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Léoville Poyferré is a 2nd Growth (22ème Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc.
The vineyard of Château Léoville Poyferré extends over 80 hectares and is planted to 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc - a ratio in which the wines roughly follow with slight vintage variation.
Château Léoville Poyferré is a wine estate located in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Médoc region in Bordeaux, France. The 80-hectare vineyards of Château Léoville Poyferré are planted to 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot grapes.
