The renowned Charmes-Chambertin Grand-Cru vineyard and appellation is located the Southern part of Gevrey-Chambertin within the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy and can produce some of the world's most iconic wines. The appellation is permitted to produce only red wine from Pinot Noir grapes, although regulations allow up to 15% of the white wine grapes; Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc to be blended into the red wine, however this is rarley practised.
