The wine of Château Labegorce is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the famed appellation of Margaux: aged for 12-14 months in 40-50% new oak barrels.
Known today as Château Labégorce, the winery was formerly known as three separate estates; Château Labégorce-Margaux, Château Labégorce-Zédé and L’Abbé Grosse de Grosse. The Perrodo family bought all three properties from the late 1980s-2000s and reunited them as one.
France is widely recognized as one of the world's premier wine-producing countries, renowned for its diverse range of wine styles and regions, including Champagne, Bordeaux, and Burgundy.
AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) is France’s official wine classification system, regulating geographic origin, grape varieties, viticulture, and winemaking practices to ensure quality and authenticity. It protects traditional regional wine styles and names.
