Château Coutet was acquired by Charles le Guerin, Lord of Coutet, in 1643 and is one of the oldest Sauternes producing vineyards; Ranked as a First Growth Premier Cru (1er-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.
Produced only in the best deemed vintages, Cuvée Madame is made from 100% Sémillon grapes from the estate's oldest parcels of vines and matured in barrels for more than three years. A limited release of only around 1000 bottles are produced each vintage.
