Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux is the second-wine from the renowned Château Margaux estate- one of the original four 1st Growths (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc. It is believed this second wine was first released back in the 17th century, but the name Pavillon Rouge was given to it in 1908.
This 2005 vintage is made from a blend of 48% Mertlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.
