Château Pavie is one of the leading estates in the Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Émilion in France. Grapes have been grown for winemaking on the site that would become Château Pavie since Roman times. The Château’s name is derived from a Gallo-Roman senator by the name of Publius Vibius Pansa.
France is widely recognized as one of the world's premier wine-producing countries, renowned for its diverse range of wine styles and regions, including Champagne, Bordeaux, and Burgundy.
Premier Cru Classé is a designation from the 1855 Bordeaux Wine Official Classification, ranking select châteaux in Médoc and Sauternes among the highest quality producers. It signifies exceptional wines with longstanding reputations, subject to strict production standards.
