Taylor's 1948 Vintage Port 3x75cl

Taylor Fladgate & Yeatman, more commonly known as \"Taylor’s\" was founded in 1692 and is one of the largest, oldest and most well-known of all the founding Port houses with over three centuries of production.

Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes.  The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character.  Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades.

These Ports are from the very good 1948 vintage.

A large 6 litre bottle, also known as a Methuselah, Non-vintage Champagne from the renowned Champagne House of Cattier.

Armand De Brignac (also known as \"Ace of Spades\" Champagne) has been produced since 1763 by the Cattier Family in the village of Chigny Les Roses. For each bottling, three vintages from outstanding harvest years are blended together to comprise the final cuvée.

Each bottle of Armand de Brignac is coated in metal, finished with the hand application of French pewter labels and polished.

Seppelt 100 Year Old Para Port Liqueur 1881 Australia

Produced in a style roughly mirroring that of the fortified Ports from Portugal, this is a fortified Tawny wine from the legendary Seppeltsfield vineyards in Australia's Barossa Valley. Para 100 year old port is believed to be made from Mourvedre, Shiraz, Cabernet and Grenache.

In 1878, Benno Seppelt began the tradition of laying down a single chosen 500 Litre barrel of the winery's \"port\" with the decree that the puncheon not be opened for 100 years. 

This wine is from the 1881 vintage and was bottled in 1981- released after an incredible 100 years of maturing. This is one of only 110 bottles produced.

This lot is complete with a certificate of authenticity from Seppelt.

With a yield limited to one glass per vine, Château d'Yquem is a Sauternes wine whose rareness contributes to its prestige.

Graham's 1952 Single Harvest Tawny Port / Queens Diamond Jubilee

A limited release Single Harvest Tawny Port, matured for an incredible six decades, produced to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Tawny Port is a particular style of Port in which the fortified wines are aged for a number of years in small oak casks.  This process of deliberate and careful oxidative maturation imparts typical characteristics of stewed fruits, nuts and leather. The wines do not age or improve further upon bottling.

This commemorative bottling was specially selected by renowned Wine & Sprit Merchants, Berry Bro's & Rudd.

Château Mouton-Rothschild is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates.  In spite of its prominence, the estate was listed as only a 2nd-Growth in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc - an injustice that was finally confirmed with their promotion to the exclusive rank of 1st-Growth in 1973.

The vineyards of Château Mouton-Rothschild are planted to 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot - a ratio to which their wine roughly follows with slight annual variation; Matured in 100% new French Oak barrels for 18-22 months.
