Marqués De Murrieta 'Castillo Ygay' 1942 Rioja Gran Reserva Especial 3x75cl

Tempranillo dominant blend from the iconic Marqués De Murrieta in the Rioja region of northern Spain. Castillo Ygay is the estate's flagship wine; Matured in American Oak barriques for a period well in excess of the minimum 24 months required to classify as Gran Reserva.

Marqués de Murrieta is the oldest family winery based in Rioja, concentrating exclusively on the production of premium Reserva and Gran Reserva wines since 1852.

Piper Heidsieck 'Rare' 2008 Vintage Champagne​ 3x75cl

2006 vintage Champagne from the historic House of Piper-Heidsieck.

First created with the 1976 vintage, Rare has since only produced in exceptional years.

Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck. The history of the house can be traced back to the original Heidsieck and Co., which was split into three different operations- the others being Heidsieck Monopole and Charles Heidsieck. Marilyn Monroe was one of the House's earliest supporters, rumoured to have kept a month's supply of champagne in her kitchen.

Mommessin 2003 Clos De Tart Grand-Cru

Old-vine Pinot Noir from the Burgundian Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Clos De Tart, within the greater commune of Morey St-Denis in the Côte-d'Or; briefly matured in new oak barrels.

Warre's 1991 Vintage Port 6x75cl

1991 vintage port from the house of Warre's. Bottled in 1993.

Founded in 1670, Warre's is the first and the oldest British port company established in Portugal. By the end of the 18th century, Warre's had become one of the leading port companies. Today it is owned and run by the Symington family, whose portfolio also includes Port brands Graham’s, Dow’s, and Cockburn’s. 

Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades.

Paul Jaboulet 'La Chapelle' 1985 Hermitage 2x75cl

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage; Aged for an undisclosed period in 20% new oak. 

Paul Jaboulet is one of the most prominent names in the Rhône and Hermitage. La Chapelle is their flagship wine, made from 100% Syrah from a blend from their top sites including the acclaimed vineyards of Les Bessards, Le Meal and Les Rocoules. The estate also produce a \"La Chapelle blanc\" which is made from 100% Marsanne grapes.

Mollydooker Wines is based in the heart of the McLaren Vale wine region of South Australia and was founded by Sarah and Sparky Marquis in 2005. \"Mollydooker' is old Aussie slang for a left handed boxer. 

Mouton-Cadet Baron Philippe de Rothschild 1949 Bordeaux 2x75cl

An incredibly old 1949 vintage from Mouton-Cadet.

Frequently regarded as Baron Philippe De Rothschild's famous unofficial second-wine - beyond his Premier Grand Cru Classé estate, Château Mouton-Rothschild - Mouton-Cadet was created in 1930 to offer the richness of Bordeaux wines at an affordable cost to a wider audience.

Originally a blend of grapes from Baron Philippe's Mouton-Rothschild and Mouton-d'Armailhacq estates, the wine is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc & Merlot, bottled under the regional Bordeaux appellation.

Martinez 1963 Vintage Port

Martinez was founded in 1790 by the Spaniard Sebastian Gonzalez Martinez, who, from his base in the City of London sold sherry, cigars and Port. In 2006, the firm was acquired by the Symington Family. Martinez has no historical association with any one quinta.  Instead, the grapes are sourced mainly from the Pinhão and Rio Torto valleys, where many small farmers produce top quality fruit which they sell to the Symingtons.

Prunotto Bussia 1988 Barolo 2x75cl

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

This wine comes from a single vineyard in the Bussia Monforte d’Alba area and is aged for 18 months in oak barrels.

Pieroth 'Bechtolsheimer Petersberg' Beerenauslese Ortega 2003 Rheinhessen 3x75cl

Sweet white wine made from the Ortega grape, from the single vineyard of Petersberg in the village of Bechtolsheimer within the Rheinhessen wine-region just south-west of Frankfurt.

Beerenauslese is a German classification for a late harvest, very sweet wine. Beerenauslese, often called \"BA\" for short, wines are a category and level of sweetness above Auslese and are made from grapes affected by noble rot, i.e.\"botrytised \" grapes.

Paul Jaboulet Le Chevalier De Sterimberg 2000 Hermitage Blanc

A white wine blend of Marsanne and Roussanne from the iconic Northern Rhone Valley appellation of Hermitage.

The French appellation of Hermitage is most well known for it's red wine production from the Syrah grape, however, small quantities of white wine such as this are also produced from Roussane and Marsanne grapes.

Marqués de Cáceres 2004/2005 Rioja Crianza 6x75cl

Tempranillo dominant blend from the famed Rioja region in northern Spain: matured for a miniumum of 12 months in oak. 

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja.

Auslese is a semi-sweet or sweet style of German wine, made from individually-selected bunches of very ripe grapes based on their ripeness level and sugar content.

Weingut Eduard-Hauth Kerpen 'Wehlener Sonnenuhr' Riesling Spätlese 1989 Mosel

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard, Sonnenuhr by the village of Wehlen, just north of the famous town, Bernkasteler-Kues, in Germany's famed Mosel valley.

Spätlese is the the lightest of the German late harvest wines, produced from slightly-late-harvested grapes and may be either sweet or dry. If “Trocken” is noted on the label you can assume it's a dry style.

Marqués de Riscal 2007 Rioja Reserva 150cl

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the Rioja region in northern Spain; Classified as Reserva, matured for a minimum period of 12 months in oak barrel

As with several quality-focused historic Rioja estates, Marqués de Riscal mature their wines in excess of the minimum requirements; their Reserva being matured for approximately 26 months in American Oak barrels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja. 

This is a 1.5 magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Pulenta Estate X Gran Malbec 2018 Uco Valley

Malbec from Argentina's Uco Valley, just south of the city of Mendoza; Matured for 9 months in new French oak barrels. 

This 100% Malbec comes from high altitude vineyards (1,200 meters above sea level) planted in 1981.

Mercier 'Cuvée Bulle d'Or' NV Champagne circa 1980

Non-vintage Champagne from the House of Mercier.

Based in the heart of the Champagne region, the Mercier Champagne House was founded in 1858 by Eugene Mercier. This Brut Mercier champagne is a blend of pinot noir, meunier and chardonnay.

Mumm 'Cordon Rouge' Brut NV Champagne

Non-vintage brut Champagne from the House of G.H. Mumm.

Mumm ‘Grand Cordon’ is sourced from more than 100 crus of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. A portion of the reserve wines in this cuvée are aged in oak vats bringing greater aromatic complexity.
