This rare fortified wine was drawn from a solera system established in 1885. It is Produced in the coastal region of Andalusia, in the far south of Spain.
Scholtz Hermanos was one of Málaga’s leading wine producers and exporters for over 150 years. Founded by German brothers Christian and Richard Scholtz of Berlin, the firm became renowned for its exceptional dessert wines, regarded among the finest in the region until it closed in 1996.
Pedro Ximénez is a white wine grape variety that is grown in the Andalusia region of Spain. It is most commonly used to produce a sweet, fortified wine of the same name, which is characterized by its rich, raisin flavour and thick, syrupy texture.
