1999 vintage Champagne from the iconic House of Laurent-Perrier. A special release to celebrate the 60th birthday of HRH the Price of Wales on 14th November 2008.

The famed Champagne Wine Region located in the north east of France is renowned for producing the world's most celebrated sparkling wine. Champagne is typically made from one or a combination of the three predominant grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, although there are four other lesser-known grape varieties that are permitted to be included: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Petit Meslier and Arbane.

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy. The wine must be made from 100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.

Chablis is located in northern Burgundy and is one of the most well-known wine regions in France producing world renowned cool-climate Chardonnay. Compared to other Burgundian Chardonnays, Chablis wines typically have little or no oak influence- though many of the Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines receive some maturation in oak barrels.

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin.

Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest wine-producing village in Burgundy's Côte d'Or. The renowned region is home to 26 Premier Cru and 9 Grand-Cru climats which can produce some of the world's most sought-after wines. The appellation is permitted to produce only red wine from Pinot Noir grapes, although regulations allow up to 15% of the white wine grapes; Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc to be blended into the red wine, however this is rarley practised. 

From the renowned Burgundian négociant house of Labouré-Roi, founded in 1832.

Virginie de Valandraud 2015 Saint-Émilion

Virginie de Valandraud is the second wine of Château Valandraud. A classic Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from the appellation of Saint-Émilion: aged for 20 months in new oak barrels. 

Saint-Émilion is located in the Libournais district of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot is the primary grape variety used in the wines blended with Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon. Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used.

There is a fairly complicated classification system for the appellation which includes; Premier Grand Cru Classé A, Premier Grand Cru Classé B and Grand Cru Classé. Saint-Émilion Grand Cru may also be noted on labels but without the word \"Classé\", this means the wine is not part of this classification system. In recent years some top producers in the area have voluntarily withdrawn for the classification system.

Pinot Noir from the Premier-Cru vineyard of En Chevret located within the Burgundian appellation of Volnay.

The Latour family have long been established in Burgundy’s wine trade. They began as vine growers in the village of Aloxe-Corton as early as 1768 and went on to establish today’s business, Maison Louis Latour, in 1797. The company has been in family ownership for 11 generations and is now led by the 7th Louis Latour. Today they are the largest vineyard owners of grand cru sites in Burgundy.

Le Pagodes de Cos is the second wine of Cos d'Estournel in the Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Estèphe. Cos d'Estournel is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently referred to as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

The wine is made from a fairly even blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from the left-bank appellation of Saint-Estèphe.

La Rioja Alta 'Viña Arana' 1973 Rioja Gran Reserva

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the famed Rioja region in northern Spain; Classified as a Gran Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 5 years including a minimum of 24 months in oak barrels.

Established in 1890, La Rioja Alta continues to be one of the benchmarks for traditionally produced Rioja wine today. Viña Arana is a blend of 95% tempranillo and 5% mazuelo and is matured for three years in oak and two years in bottle.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja. 

Viña Arana is a blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo and is matured for three years in oak and two years in bottle.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
