Domaine Michel Chavet 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé

Chardonnay from the Burgundian appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé: aged for 8-9 months on fine lees. 

The Pouilly-Fuissé appellation was created in 1936 and exclusively produces white wines from 100% Chardonnay, often with a clear oak influence. Not to be confused with Burgundy's Pouilly-Fumé which is Sauvignon Blanc based.

Della Porta Rossa 1968 Barolo Riserva Speciale 2x75cl

Barolo, often referred to as \"The King Of Wines\" is always made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, as a Riserva classification, this wine was matured in oak for a minimum period of 62 months, including 18 months in wood- traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks.

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

Donatella Cinelli Colombini 2005 Rosso di Montalcino

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino; aged for two years in cask and 6 months in bottle.

Established as a DOC in 1983, Rosso di Montalcino must be made from 100% Sangiovese (locally known as Sangioveto Grosso) and carries many similar characteristics of the great Brunello di Montalcino, except it is required to be matured for a lesser period of time in oak barrels- a minimum of 12 months. 

Dominique Laurent 'Vieilles Vignes' 2014 Marsannay

Old vine Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Marsannay.

Domaine Cachat Ocquidant 'Les Madonnes' Vieille Vigne 2015 Ladoix

Old vine Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Ladoix, located in the north of the subregion of the Côte-de-Beaune: aged for 11 months in 40% new oak barrels. 

Taylor's 2004 LBV Port

2004 Late Bottled Vintage from the renowned house of Taylor's. Bottled in 2009.

Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port is a specific style of Ruby Port in which the fortified wine - from a single, specified vintage - is aged for an extended period of time before bottling. Unlike Vintage Ports, LBV Ports do not continue to mature in the bottle.

Taylor Fladgate & Yeatman, more commonly known as \"Taylor’s\" was founded in 1692 and is one of the largest, oldest and most well-known of all the founding Port houses with over three centuries of production.

Domaine Chanzy Clos De La Fortune 2002 Bouzeron

Bouzeron is produced from the grape variety Aligoté, and Bouzeron AOC is the only communal-level Burgundy appellation for Aligoté-based wines. The AOC regulations require 100% Aligoté for Bouzeron.

Domaine Chanzy has a historic presence in Bouzeron, and owns and operates an 80-hectare vineyard spread over the three Burgundy principal regions.

Domaine De La Trappe 'Lucien Borgeaud' Muscat Staoueli, Algeria circa 1930s

Mature Muscat from Algeria, North Africa.

Domaine De La Trappe was purchased in 1904 by the Borgeaud family. 

Note- this is no vintage date noted. We estimate this to be circa 1930s or earlier. 

We are unable to confirm if this is a sweet or dry wine, due to the good clarity and it's age we assume this is sweet. 

Domaine de la Butte 'Perrieres' 2014 Bourgueil

Single vineyard 100% Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley appellation of Bourgueil.

Bourgueil wine is made from the Cabernet Franc grape variety, which is locally called Cabernet Breton. Up to 10% of the wine can also be made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Dynamic Vines 'Vi de Taula' Els Jelpins 2017 Spain 2x75cl

Els Jelipins is a seriously old vine red wine blend of Montònega and Sumoll grapes: aged for 30 months in old oak vats.

Sumoll and Montònega are rare and scarcely planted grape varieties that is native to Spain.

Single vineyard, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the DO of Penedès within the larger Catalonia region in the northeast of Spain.

Taylor's 10 Year Old Tawny Port / Bottled 2010

Tawny Port is a particular style of Port in which the fortified wines are aged for a number of years in small oak casks.  This process of deliberate and careful oxidative maturation imparts typical characteristics of stewed fruits, nuts and leather.  The wines do not age or improve further upon bottling.

Delhaize Cuvee Prestige Sec 2015 Chablis

Chardonnay from the iconic French appellation of Chablis.

Chablis is located in northern Burgundy and is one of the most well-known wine regions in France producing world renowned cool-climate Chardonnay. Compared to other Burgundian Chardonnays, Chablis wines typically have little or no oak influence- though many of the Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines receive some maturation in oak barrels.

Domaine La Soumade 'Cuvee Prestige' Rasteau 2000 Côtes-du-Rhône Villages

Grenache dominant blend (80%) from the village of Rasteau in the southern Rhône Valley regional appellation of Côtes du Rhône Villages

Since 2009, Rasteau has been officially recognised as an appellation in its own right.

100% Montepulciano from the wine region on the central-eastern coast of Italy.

Terre del Barolo 1979 Barolo

Founded in 1958, Terre del Barolo is a cooperative winery based in Castiglione Falletto with more than three hundred members.

Domaine Pieretti 'Vin Doux Naturel' 2013 Muscat du Cap Corse

Created in 1993, the Muscat du Cap Corse wine region located in Corsica, France produces sweet wines made from Muscat Blanc à Petit Grains .

Vin Doux Naturel (VDN) is a historic naturally sweet, lightly fortified wines made from red or white grapes by stopping the fermentation process halfway through by adding grape spirits.

Dow's Finest Reserve Port / Harrods

A Reserve Port from the house of Dow's, bottled for Harrods.

Reserve Port (originally called Vintage Character Port until 2002) is made from a blend of vintages that follow much the same maturation processes for either Ruby or Tawny Ports, but with more freedom for the winemakers to experiment and blend different wines and from different years to achieve their desired character and flavour profiles.

One of the great houses of Port- the name Dow has been associated with quality Port wine from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley for over two centuries.

Domaine Darviot-Perrin Les Magnys 2007 Bourgogne

White wine from the regional appellation of Bourgogne (aka Burgundy).

Domaine Du Devoy 1985 Lirac

From the appellation of Lirac in France's Southern Rhone valley, the red wines are blends which must contain a minimum 40% Grenache, minimum 25% Syrah and Mourvedre (together), Carignan and a maximum 10% of Cinsault.

Domaine Combarel 1997 Saint-Chinian

A red wine blend from Saint-Chinian, the oldest wine producing region of the Languedoc in Southern France.

The main grape varieties used in the Saint-Chinian AOC are: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan.

Topper's Mountain 'Hill of Dreams' Sauvignon Blanc 2019 New England, Australia

Sauvignon Blanc from the Australia's New England wine region: matured in old French oak barrels. 

The New England wine region was officially established in 2008 and is located in northern New South Wales. The majority of wineries in the area located at a considerable altitude, between 400-1000 metres.

Domaine des Aubuisières 'Cuvée de Perruches' 2012 Vouvray 2x75cl

Chenin Blanc from the single vineyard of Le Marigny in the Loire Valley appellation of Vouvray.

The Vouvray wine region, located in the Loire Valley's Touraine district, is famed for its white wine made almost exclusively from the Chenin Blanc grape. Various styles: sweet, dry, still and sparkling are permitted in the region. Other than Chenin Blanc, the lesser-known and rarely seen Arbois grape is also permitted. Chenin Blanc is also known as Pineau de la Loire in Loire and Steen in South Africa.

Domaine de la Motte Moelleux 1990 Coteaux du Layon Rochefort-sur-Loire 6x75cl

Sweet Chenin Blanc from the parish of Rochefort-sur-Loire in the Anjou commune of the Loire Valley appellation of Coteaux Du Layon.

The wines of Coteaux du Layon are made from grapes that are very ripe, sun-dried on the vine, or affected by the \"Noble Rot\", botrytis cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine.

Domaine Thenac Deux Moulins 'Moelleux' 1998 Cotes de Bergerac 2x75cl

Sweet (Moelleux) white wine produced in the historic Bergerac region of southwest France which is a blend of Sémillon with Sauvignon blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle, to which Ugni Blanc, Ondenc and Chenin blanc are sometimes added.
