Châ​teau Petrus is undisputedly the top wine estate in the Bordeaux right-bank appellation of Pomerol and rightly lays claim to being one of the most famous estates in the world of wine.  Unofficially recognised as a \"Premier Grand Cru\" (no such classification exists in Pomerol), Petrus is considered first-among-equals with the likes of Mouton- and Lafite-Rothschild in regards to both quality and iconic stature. As there is no second wine at Pétrus, where the declassified juice ends up is one of the wine world’s great mysteries.

Petrus is small estate of just 11.4 hectares (28 acres) and produces its single-varietal wine entirely from Merlot grapes. Prior to 2010, small amounts of Cabernet Franc were used in some vintages. The wines are aged in 100% new oak barrels for an average of 20 months.

Château Lynch-Bages 1995 Pauillac 5eme-Cru 12x75cl

Château Lynch-Bages is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Château Lynch-Bages is also the name of the red wine produced by this property. The wine produced here was classified as one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in oak barrels for a period of 12 months.

An incredibly old 1959 vintage Château d'Yquem.

The famed Chateau d'Yquem's signature Sauternes wine is made with 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. These grapes are affected by noble rot, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine. With a yield limited to one glass per vine, Château d'Yquem is a Sauternes wine whose rareness contributes to its prestige.

Châ​teau La Tour Figeac 2009 St-Emilion Grand Cru 12x75cl

Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Grand Cru Classé estate of Châ​teau La Tour Figeac within the appellation of Saint-Emilion;

Typically a blend of 60-70% Merlot and 30-40% Cabernet Franc, matured for 10-13 months in 50% new oak barrels. 

The property was once part of the neighbouring Château Figeac that covered as much as 200 hectares (500 acres) in the 19th century.

Château Lafite-Rothschild 2002 Pauillac 1er-Cru

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in new oak barrels for between 18 to 20 months.

Château Lafite Rothschild is an iconic first-growth property in Pauillac, North West of Bordeaux, France with vines first planted in the late 16th century by the Ségur family. It achieved its top-tier rank in 1855 and has been in the Rothschild family since 1868.

Lafite was listed as one of only four 1st Growths in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc - though sister-estate Château Mouton-Rothschild gained promotion from 2nd (2eme Cru) to 1st-Growth in 1973.

Château Lafite-Rothschild 1981 Pauillac

Château​ Latour à Pomerol 1990 Pomerol 4x75cl

Merlot dominant (90-100%), right-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

The exact origins of Château​ Latour à Pomerol are not clear, however the estate remains one of the leading Pomerol properties today. In 2002 the estate was donated to the Fondation de Foyers de Charité de Châteauneuf de Galaure. Since 1962 the property has been run and farmed by the renowned Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1998 Pessac-Léognan Grand-Cru

Château La Mission Haut-Brion from the Pessac-Léognan appellation (originally Graves before 1987), is widely regarded as being on par with the five prestigious 1st-Growth estates as ranked in the famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc; itself ranked within the Classification of Graves 1959.

Typically a fairly even blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc; aged in oak barriques (70-85% new) for 18- 20 months.

Château Moulinet is owned by the renowned winemaking, Moueix family- owner of the famed Château Petrus.  This wine from the Right-Bank Bordeaux appellation of Pomerol is a blend of Merlot  with Cabernet Franc: matured for around 18 months in 40% new oak. 

This is a 6 litre Methuselah or Impériale bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Château Quinault l'Enclos 2009 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 12x75cl

Merlot dominant blend from the right-bank Bordeaux appellation of Saint Émilion.

Château Quinault is situated in the heart of Libourne next to the Dordogne river. The vine plants, on average 45 years old, are approximately 72% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, typical of the varieties in the region.
