Château Suduiraut 2002 Sauternes 1er-Cru 2x37.5cl

Chateau Suduiraut was ranked as a First Growth Premier Cru (1er-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.

From the famed Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Branaire-Ducru (sometimes referred to simply as Château Branaire) is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

​The wine is a typical left-bank Bordeaux-blend featuring a high dominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, approximately 25% Merlot and tiny portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; matured for a minimum of 18 months in 60% new French oak barrels.

Château Figeac 1967 St-Emilion 1er-Grand Cru

Since the formation of the Saint-Emilion Classification in 1955, Chateau Figeac has held its rank as Premier Grand Cru Classé \"B\", until 2022 when it was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé \"A\".

As an anomaly for Saint-Emilion, Merlot is the minor grape variety at Château Figeac. The wines being composed of approximately 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and only 30% Merlot; matured exclusively in new French Oak barrels for 15-18 months.

Saussignac is an small appellation for sweet wines within the Bergerac wine region of south-west France. Made from a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle and generally of a slightly drier style than Sauternes. Both appellations are produced from grapes affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp for pressing.

Cockburn’s is one of the greatest names in Port, established by Scotsman Robert Cockburn in 1815, who returned to Portugal after first visiting the country as a soldier.

Late Bottled Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port in which the fortified wine - from a single, specified vintage - is aged for an extended period of time before bottling. Unlike Vintage Ports, LBV Ports do not continue to mature in the bottle.

As with the famous wines of Sauternes, the sweet white wines of Monbazillac are affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp for pressing.  Where the two appellations differ is the grapes which make up the blends: Sauternes is mostly Semillon with some Sauvignon Blanc; Monbazillac is mostly Muscadelle, with some Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc - generally creating a slightly more delicate style.

Château Latour Martillac 2014 Graves Grand Cru

Château Latour-Martillac located in the Bordeaux appellation of Pessac-Leognan (originally Graves before 1987), was ranked as a Grand Cru estate within the 1959 Classifications of Graves wines. 

Their wine is a blend of 60-65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30-35% Merlot and approximately 5% Petit Verdot; matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

Sangiovese dominant blend from the iconic wine-region of Chianti in the heart of Tuscany.

Chianti Classico wines must contain a minimum of 80% of Sangiovese. The remainder can be made from native grapes such as Canaiolo or Colorino, as well as international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wines made only from Sangiovese have been permitted since 1996.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes.
