Screaming Eagle 2011 Napa Valley 2x75cl

From the Oakville district of Napa Valley, Screaming Eagle - established only in 1986 - is one of California's contemporarily-deemed cult wineries.  While generally relatively new operations, such \"cult\" wineries are renowned both for their wines of incredibly high quality and incredibly high value.

A blend of 80-85% Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc; Matured for 24 months in 65% new French oak barrels.

Piper Heidsieck 'Rare' 2008 Vintage Champagne​ 3x75cl

2006 vintage Champagne from the historic House of Piper-Heidsieck.

First created with the 1976 vintage, Rare has since only produced in exceptional years.

Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck. The history of the house can be traced back to the original Heidsieck and Co., which was split into three different operations- the others being Heidsieck Monopole and Charles Heidsieck. Marilyn Monroe was one of the House's earliest supporters, rumoured to have kept a month's supply of champagne in her kitchen.

Paul Jaboulet 'La Chapelle' 1985 Hermitage 2x75cl

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage; Aged for an undisclosed period in 20% new oak. 

Paul Jaboulet is one of the most prominent names in the Rhône and Hermitage. La Chapelle is their flagship wine, made from 100% Syrah from a blend from their top sites including the acclaimed vineyards of Les Bessards, Le Meal and Les Rocoules. The estate also produce a \"La Chapelle blanc\" which is made from 100% Marsanne grapes.

Pol Roger 'Sir Winston Churchill' Brut 2006 Vintage Champagne

Champagne Pol Roger created their Prestige Cuvée in homage to Sir Winston Churchill who was a long term customer of the Champagne House. It is only produced in their very best vintages.

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin 'La Grande Dame' Brut 1996 Vintage Champagne

1996 vintage Champagne from the famed House of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.

Created in tribute to Madame Clicquot, La Grande Dame is only developed in great vintages. This cuvee consists of eight Grands Crus, which are amongst the most prestigious in the Champagne region.

Founded in 1772 and based in Reims, Veuve is one of the largest and most renowned Champagne houses in the world. The company was purchased in 1986 by Louis Vuitton (now part of the LVMH group formed in 1987).

Viñedo Chadwick 2005 Maipo Valley

Single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from from Chile's famed Maipo Valley; matured for 18-22 months in 100% French oak barrels. 

Viñedo Chadwick was created in 1999 which was released to great acclaim in 2002.

Prunotto Bussia 1988 Barolo 2x75cl

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

This wine comes from a single vineyard in the Bussia Monforte d’Alba area and is aged for 18 months in oak barrels.

Smith Woodhouse & Co. 1970 Vintage Port

1970 Vintage Port from the house of Smith Woodhouse & Co.

The small Port house of Smith Woodhouse & Co. was founded in 1784 by Christopher Smith M.P. and Lord Mayor of London. Their small 5-hectare vineyard is located in the heart of the sheltered Rio Torto Valley. Today the company is part of the Symington family of ports who also own iconic port houses such as; Graham's, Cockburn's, Dow's and Warre's & co.

Pieroth 'Bechtolsheimer Petersberg' Beerenauslese Ortega 2003 Rheinhessen 3x75cl

Sweet white wine made from the Ortega grape, from the single vineyard of Petersberg in the village of Bechtolsheimer within the Rheinhessen wine-region just south-west of Frankfurt.

Beerenauslese is a German classification for a late harvest, very sweet wine. Beerenauslese, often called \"BA\" for short, wines are a category and level of sweetness above Auslese and are made from grapes affected by noble rot, i.e.\"botrytised \" grapes.

Sandeman 1985 Vintage Port

The famous House of Sandeman was created in 1790 by Scotsman, George Sandeman and has continuously been making and shipping ports around the world for more than 200 years. Their famous logo featuring a caped man named \"The Don\" makes this the most well known brand of port in the world.

Paul Jaboulet Le Chevalier De Sterimberg 2000 Hermitage Blanc

A white wine blend of Marsanne and Roussanne from the iconic Northern Rhone Valley appellation of Hermitage.

The French appellation of Hermitage is most well known for it's red wine production from the Syrah grape, however, small quantities of white wine such as this are also produced from Roussane and Marsanne grapes.

Selbach-Oster 'Zeltinger Schlossberg' Riesling Spätlese 2000s Mosel 2x75cl

This lot contains 1x 2003 and 1x 2007 vintage. 

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard of Zeltinger Schlossberg within Germany's famous Mosel river valley. 

Spätlese is the the lightest of the German late harvest wines, produced from slightly-late-harvested grapes and may be either sweet or dry. If “Trocken” is noted on the label you can assume it's a dry style.

Victoria Torres Pecis 'Las Rosas' Listán Negro 2018 La Palma

Old vine Listán Negro from the region of La Palma located in the Canary Islands, Spain. 

This wine comes from old vines aged over 80 years and is matured in concrete tank for approximately 10 months.

Saint Clair 'Godfrey's Creek Reserve' Noble Riesling 2018 Marlborough 2x37.5cl

A sweet Riesling dessert wine from the region of Marlborough in the northeast of New Zealand's South Island.

The grapes were affected by the \"Noble Rot\", botrytis cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.

Saint Clair Godfrey’s Creek Reserve Riesling is grown on a single vineyard in the heart of the Marlborough Valley.

Soalheiro Alvarinho 2021 Monção & Melgaço, Portugal

Dry white wine made from the Alvarinho grape from the Monção & Melgaço wine region of the larger Vinho Verde region of northern Portugal. 

Providence Vineyards 'Private Reserve' 1996  Matakana, New Zealand

A Merlot dominant blend from the small region of Matakana located north of Auckland, New Zealand; matured for 20-24 months in 100% new nevers oak barrels.

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
