Liguria is a wine-producing region located in northwestern Italy, known for its production of white wines made from the Vermentino grape and sweet, fortified wines made from the Moscato grape. The region has a coastal location that provides a cool and temperate climate, as well as its mountainous terrain which provides a range of microclimates and soil types, contributing to the production of high-quality wines with distinct and complex flavour profiles.
