Rossese is a red wine grape variety that is grown primarily in the Liguria region of Italy, where it has a long history of use in the production of local wines. One of the most notable wine regions for Rossese production is Liguria, a coastal region in north-west Italy. In Liguria, Rossese is often blended with other red wine grape varieties to produce a number of the region's DOCs, the best-known of which is Rossese di Dolceacqua.
Rossese is also grown in smaller quantities in the nearby regions of Piedmont and Tuscany.
