Croatia is a wine-producing country located in the Balkans, with a winemaking tradition that dates back over 2,000 years. The country's wine production is divided between its distinct coastal and mountainous regions, producing a variety of wine styles. The most popular of these are dry white wines and full-bodied reds, the latter of which is commonly made with the indigenous Plavac Mali grape variety.
