Nicolas Potel set up his own wine négociant business after the death of his father in 1996. In 2008 the Nicolas Potel estate and name were sold to the Cottin Frères (owner of Labouré-Roi). Potel now sells his wines under the names Domaine de Bellene and a négociant label Maison Roche de Bellene.
