Vintage character ports are made in a style to replicate that of a quality vintage ruby port but are made from a blend of ruby ports, from different vintages and vineyards. In 2002 the term 'Vintage Character' was banned with such Ports now labelled as Reserve, Reserva or Premium Ruby.
