Amandio 1960 Old Tawny Port / bottled 1975
Tawny Port is a particular style of Port in which the fortified wines are aged for a number of years in barrel or oak casks. This process of deliberate and careful oxidative maturation imparts typical characteristics of stewed fruits, nuts and leather. Tawny port are non-vintage wines which come in various styles, primarily recognised by the length of time the wine has been aged. The wines do not age or improve further upon bottling.
