Tenuta Fanti San Filippo 1999 Brunello di Montalcino 3x75cl

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years prior to release.

Château Cissac 2004 Haut-Medoc 6x75cl

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc; Aged for 18-20 months in 30-40% new French oak. 

The Cru Bourgeois estate of Château Cissac has been in the hands of the Vialard family since 1895 and is currently run by the 5th generation. The family also owns the neighbouring estate of Chateau du Breuil.

Château Gruaud-Larose 2000 Saint Julien​ 2eme-Cru

From the Bordeaux left-bank appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Gruaud-Larose is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured for 16-18 months in oak barrels. New oak use has increased from around 30% in the 1990s to around 90% in the 2000s.

Caveau des Jacobins 'Vin Jaune' 1980s Cotes Du Jura 2x63cl

A dry white wine made from Savagnin grapes, from the relatively unknown region of the Côtes Du Jura in eastern France- famous for it's Vin Jaune wines.

Vin Jaune, French for yellow wine, is a unique oxidative wine which shares many similarities with Fino Sherry, but unlike Sherry, it is not fortified and is always dry. These wines have incredible ageing potential. 

This lot contains the 1980 and 1983 vintage.

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from the Bordeaux appellation of Saint Estèphe; Matured for 12-14 months in oak barrels. 

The Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel estate of Château Le Boscq is owned by Dourthe and produces this wine from their vineyard in a single block.

Château Rauzan-Ségla 2006 Margaux 2eme-Cru

From the renowned Margaux appellation, Chateau Rauzan-Segla (Rausan-Segla between 1904-1994) is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently refered to as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured for 18 months in approximately 50% French Oak barrels.

This 2006 vintage is made from a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot and 3 Petit Verdot. 

Caparzo 2015 Brunello di Montalcino / 50th Anniversary 150cl

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Château Léoville-Barton 2009 Saint Julien 2eme-Cru / Anthony Barton

Château Leoville-Barton is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate which lies within the iconic terroir of Saint Julien in the Médoc. It is now one of only two chateau's from the 1855 Classification of the Medoc that remains in the hands of the same family that owned it at the time it was classified.

This wine is a typical Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon dominance (70-87%) with Merlot and Cabernet Franc; matured in a combination of new and used oak barrels for a period of 16-18 months.

Châ​teau Leydet-Figeac 1988 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 6x75cl

Classic Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from the appellation of Saint-Émilion.

Saint-Émilion is located in the Libournais district of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot is the primary grape variety used in the wines blended with Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon. Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used. 

There is a fairly complicated classification system for the appellation which includes; Premier Grand Cru Classé A, Premier Grand Cru Classé B and Grand Cru Classé. Saint-Émilion Grand Cru may also be noted on labels but without the word \"Classé\", this means the wine is not part of this classification system. In recent years some top producers in the area have voluntarily withdrawn for the classification system.

Clouds Rest Pinot Noir 2007 Sonoma Coast 3x75cl

A limited release Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast AVA in Sonoma County, California.

Clouds Rest Pinot Noirs are aged for approximately 18 months in 50% new French oak and bottle aged an additional 18 months to 3 years prior to release.

Château de Cayx 1995 Cahors 300cl

Château de Cayx, located in the Cahors region of southwestern France  gained prominence in 1974 when it was purchased by the Danish royal family. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and her husband, Prince Henrik, who was born Henri de Laborde de Monpezat in France, acquired the property. The château was extensively renovated and modernised under their ownership, serving as both a private residence and a venue for official events and state visits.

Predominantly made from the Malbec grape variety, this wine is matured in 1/3 new oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months. 

This is a 3 litre double magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Châ​teau Ormes de Pez 2010 Saint-Estèphe 3x75cl

Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnels, classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux-blend from the left-bank appellation of Saint Estèphe; This wine is typically aged for 14-16 months in 35-50% new French oak. 

The vineyards of Châ​teau Ormes de Pez are planted to 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot - A ratio in which the wine roughly follows with slight vintage variation. 

Châ​teau Les Ormes de Pez is owned by the Cazes family, also owners of the renowned Château Lynch-Bages since 1939.

Château D'Esclans 'Whispering Angel' 2022 Cotes De Provence Rosé 6x75cl

Rosé made from a Grenache dominant blend from the appellation of Côtes De Provence in the south of France.

The renowned Whispering Angel is a bone dry Rosé made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino) grapes, aged in stainless steel tanks.

Château Beaumont 2009 Haut-Médoc 4x75cl

Cru Bourgeois wine from Chateau Beaumont in the Bordeaux sub-regional appellation of Haut-Médoc.

The wine tends to be a fairly balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with very small proportions of Petit Verdot and/or Cabernet Franc; Matured for 12-14 months in oak barrels, one-third renewed each year.

The history of Château Beaumont dates back to the 18th Century. Today it is one of the largest estates in the Medoc and is currently owned by the GMF group, which joined with Japanese group Suntory to create the company Grands Millésimes de France, also owner of Château Beychevelle.

Located in the Pauillac appellation, Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse De Lalande is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wines of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse De Lalande, often shorted to Château Pichon Lalande, tend to feature a higher proportion of Merlot within their Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blends, than other estates within the Pauillac appellation; Matured in new French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

Cullen Diana Madeline 2018 Wilyabrup, Margaret River

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux style blend from the Wilyabrup  sub-region of the larger Margaret River wine-region of Western Australia; Matured for 15 months in 50% new French Oak barriques.

Diana Madeline is the flagship wine of Cullen. This 2018 vintage is made from a blend of; 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec.

Château Musar 1997 Bekaa Valley

Château Musar Red is a blend comprising of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley; Aged in French oak for 12 months. 

Château Musar was created in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. In recent years Château Musar has become the first producer in Lebanon to achieve organic certification for its vineyards. Today the Chateau is one of the leading wineries increasing wide-spread recognition of Lebanon's wines and wine-history.
