Domaine Rémi Jobard 'Sous La Velle' 2000 Meursault

Chardonnay from the single vineyard of Sous La Velle, located in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Meursault.

Located in the in the Côte de Beaune sub-region, Meursault is considered to be the capital of Burgundy's great white wines. The appellation almost exclusively produces white wine made from Chardonnay, however a small amount red wine made from Pinot Noir can be found from the area. 

Château Phélan Ségur 1969 Saint-Estèphe

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux blend from the appellation of Saint-Estèphe: maturde for approximatley 15-18 months in 50% new oak barrels. 

The wine from Château Phélan Ségur is typically a blend of approximately 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot, occasionally including small amounts of Petit Verdot and/or Cabernet Franc. 

Château Léoville-Barton 1979 Saint Julien 2eme-Cru / Anthony Barton

Château Leoville-Barton is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate which lies within the iconic terroir of Saint Julien in the Médoc. It is now one of only two chateau's from the 1855 Classification of the Medoc that remains in the hands of the same family that owned it at the time it was classified.

This wine is a typical Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon dominance (70-87%) with Merlot and Cabernet Franc; matured in a combination of new and used oak barrels for a period of 16-18 months.

The Trapet family have a long history in Gevrey-Chambertin and are known for their classic examples of Burgundian Pinot Noir. 

Châ​teau La Croix de Gay 1970 Pomerol

A Merlot dominant blend from Château La Croix De Gay in the Bordeaux appellation of Pomerol; matured in 50% new French Oak barrels for 18 months.

Their wine blend is typically made up of over 90% Merlot accompanied by Cabernet Franc.

Located in the Right Bank, the appellation has no official classification but is considered one of the world’s most revered wine regions. The region is famed for its age-worthy Merlot-based wines typically made from 100% Merlot or blended with Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used. 

Château Haut-Bages Libéral 2005 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

From the appellation of Pauillac, Chateau Haut-Bages-Liberal is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wine is a classic right-bank Bordeaux blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot; matured for 16 months in 40% new French Oak barrels.

Château Brane-Cantenac 2008 Margaux 2eme-Cru

Château ​Brane-Cantenac is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Typically a classic Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (40-60%), Merlot (35-55%) and Cabernet Franc (5-10%); matured in French Oak barrels for 18 months.

Brane-Cantenac has been producing wine since the 17th century-initially under the name of Domaine Guilhem H. Hostei. It has since belonged to the Lurton family since 1920. The estate also produces a second wine named Baron de Brane, also a label named Château Notton, and a regional Margaux.

Château Haut-Chaigneau 'Vignobles Chatonnet' 2009 Lalande De Pomerol 2x75cl

Right-bank blend of Merlot dominance from the Bordeaux satellite appellation of Lalande-de-Pomerol.

This 2009 vintage is made from a blend of 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc.

Château Liot 1999 Sauternes 37.5cl 2x37.5cl

The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.

Château Liot Sauternes is made from a blend of 80% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon and 5%  Muscadelle; Matured in barrels for 9 to 12 months.

Château Léoville Poyferré 1970 Saint-Julien 2eme-Cru

From the Bordeaux left-bank appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Léoville Poyferré is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The vineyard of Château Léoville Poyferré extends over 80 hectares and is planted to 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc -  a ratio in which the wines roughly follow with slight vintage variation.

Domaine Yves Cheron 'La Grand Comtadine' Vieilles Vignes 2015 Vacqueyras 2x75cl

The appellation of Vacqueyras in France's Southern Rhône Valley was officially created out of the greater regional-appellation of Côtes-Du-Rhône-Villages in the year 1990. The wines of Vacqueyras must contain a minimum proportion of 50% Grenache.

Château Gazin is an unclassified estate, however since the 1840s has been regarded amongst the great growths of Pomerol.

Château Kirwan 2004 Margaux 3eme-Cru

Château Kirwan is a 3rd Growth (3eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, located in the appellation of Margaux.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in 40-50% new French Oak barrels for 20 months.

Margaux is a famed appellation located in the Haut-Médoc district of in the Right Bank of Bordeaux, southwestern France. The wine is predominantly made from Cabernet Sauvignon either as a single varietal or blended with a select combination of other permitted grapes: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Carmenère, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

Château Guiraud 1977 Sauternes 1er-Cru

From the appellation of Sauternes, Château Guiraud was ranked as a First Growth Premier Cru (1er-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc. 

The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of the white wine grapes Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the one of the worlds most sought after sweet wines.

Château Mouton Baronne Philippe 1979 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

From the famed Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac, Chateau d'Armailhac is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Purchased by the Rothschild family in 1934, the Château has historically produced under the names Mouton Baron Philippe, Mouton Baronne Philippe and Mouton d'Armailhac.

The wines feature the classic Bordeaux grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc; unusually however, vintage variation is significant with a majority being contributed from any one of these 3 grapes; matured in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months.

Châ​teau Lascombes 1970 Margaux 2eme-Cru

Château Lascombes is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is often considered a \"Super Second\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

Château La Violette 1981 Pomerol

Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from small 1.8-hectare vineyard of La Violette within the appellation of Pomerol.

Domaine Vigneau-Chevreau 'Demi-Sec' 1990 Vouvray 6x75cl

Mature, semi-sweet Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley appellation of Vouvray. 

The Vouvray wine region, located in the Loire Valley's Touraine district, is famed for its white wine made almost exclusively from the Chenin Blanc grape. Various styles: sweet, dry, still and sparkling are permitted in the region. Other than Chenin Blanc, the lesser-known and rarely seen Arbois grape is also permitted. Chenin Blanc is also known as Pineau de la Loire in Loire and Steen in South Africa.

Domaine Chandon de Briailles 'Ile des Vergelesses' 1996 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er-Cru

Burgundian Pinot Noir from the renwoned Premier Cru vineyard of Ile Des Vergelesses in the appellation of Pernand-Vergelesses, within the Côte-de-Beaune; Matured for 12-14 months in 30% new oak.

This wine comes from 1.22 hectares of vines planted in 1954.

Delas Frères 'Seigneur de Maugiron' 1996 Côte Rôtie

Côte Rôtie is one of the most iconic appellations in the Rhône Valley. While many of the region's wines are made of 100% Syrah, the addition of up to 20% of the white wine grape Viognier is permitted to be included.

Seigneur de Maugiron which translates to Lord of Maugiron, is 100% Syrah is made from a blend of grapes from the Côte Brune (around 70%) and the Côte Blonde (around 30%).

Deinhard 'Winkeler Hasensprung' Riesling Auslese 1971 Mosel

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard of WinkelerHasensprung within Germany's famous Mosel wine region, which also includes the Saar and Ruwer tributaries.

Auslese is a semi-sweet or sweet style of German wine, made from individually-selected bunches of very ripe grapes based on their ripeness level and sugar content.

Caparzo 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.

Château Rocheyron 1993 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Saint-Émilion is located in the Libournais district of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot is the primary grape variety used in the wines blended with Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon. Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used. 

There is a fairly complicated classification system for the appellation which includes; Premier Grand Cru Classé A, Premier Grand Cru Classé B and Grand Cru Classé. Saint-Émilion Grand Cru may also be noted on labels but without the word \"Classé\", this means the wine is not part of this classification system. In recent years some top producers in the area have voluntarily withdrawn for the classification system.

Cesari 'Bosan' 2006 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva

Amarone della Valpolicella is one of Italy's most iconic wines.  As with all Valpolicellas, the wine is a blend of the Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grape varieties.  

Amarone is produced through a process of partially rack-drying grapes - to increase concentration of both natural grape flavours and sugars - for approximately 4 months before winemaking begins.  The result is a wine of atypical power, concentration and alcohol content with an ability to benefit from long periods of maturation. To qualify as a Riserva wine, it must undergo a four-year ageing period beginning from 1 November of the vintage year.

This wine is from the Classico sub-region which is deemed to produce wines of particularly esteemed quality.

Clos du Marquis 1998 Saint-Julien

From the Saint-Julien appellation, Clos Du Marquis is frequently considered to be the unofficial second-wine of Chateau Leoville Las Cases - 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc; yet is regarded by owners, Domaines Delon, as an unclassified parallel-wine. Located uphill from the famed walled-vineyard of Leoville Las Cases, the grapes ripen slightly later than the \"Enclos\".

A classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

This 1998 vintage is made from a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. 

Château Beychevelle 1970 Saint-Julien 4eme-Cru

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured for approximately 18 months in French Oak barrels (50% New).

Located in the appellation of Saint-Julien, the prestigious Château Beychevelle is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Beychevelle means “lower sails\" and was named in honour of Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette (Duke of Eperon) - the first owner of Beychevelle, who was also a Navy Admiral of France. Today the Chateau is owned by Grands Millésimes de France (Castel and Suntory Group).

Château Cissac 1986 Haut-Médoc

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc; Aged for 18-20 months in 30-40% new French oak. 

The Cru Bourgeois estate of Château Cissac has been in the hands of the Vialard family since 1895 and is currently run by the 5th generation. The family also owns the neighbouring estate of Chateau du Breuil.

This wine comes from a 2.61 hectars plot of vines of Les Lavières which were planted in 1954.
