Vega Sicilia 'Unico' 1965 Ribera del Duero

Unico is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tinto Fino (aka Tempranillo) from the Ribera Del Duero region in northwest Spain; matured in a combination of new and used oak barrels and in bottle for approximately 10 years - long exceeding the minimum requirements for the Gran Reserva classification.

This 1965 vintage also included Malbec which is no longer used in Unico. 

Vega Sicilia is one of Spain's most renowned wineries, responsible for three iconic wines: \"Unico\" Gran Reserva, \"Unico\" Reserva Especial and \"Valbuena\".

Vincent  Frères 1970 Echezeaux Grand-Cru 2x75cl

Famed Burgundian Pinot Noir the Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Echézeaux.

Created in 1937, the Echézeaux Grand Cru appellation is located in the Côtes de Nuits between Clos de Vougeot, Chambolle Musigny and Vosne-Romanée with approximately 80 vineyard owners. Only red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape are permitted.

This was a bottling for U.K agents, Old Chelsea Wine Stores Ltd, London.

Created in tribute to Madame Clicquot, La Grande Dame is only developed in great vintages. This cuvee consists of eight Grands Crus, which are amongst the most prestigious in the Champagne region.

Villa Cafaggio 1999 Chianti Classico Riserva 6x75cl

Sangiovese dominant blend from the iconic wine-region of Chianti in the heart of Tuscany. Classed as a Chianti Classico Riserva, this wine must have been aged for a minimum of 24 months including 3 months of bottle ageing.

Chianti Classico wines must contain a minimum of 80% of Sangiovese. The remainder can be made from native grapes such as Canaiolo or Colorino, as well as international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wines made only from Sangiovese have been permitted since 1996.

1997 vintage Champagne from the renowned House of Vilmaert et Cie.

Vilmart produce their Champagne from 11 hectares of their Premier Cru vineyard located in the Rilly-la-Montagne terroir.

The famed Champagne Wine Region located in the northeast of France is renowned for producing the world's most celebrated sparkling wine. Champagne is typically made from one or a combination of the three predominant grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, although there are four other lesser-known grape varieties that are permitted to be included: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Petit Meslier and Arbane.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
